Wonder Woman is one of the most revamped and popular comic
book characters that has spun out of the DC Universe. The always beautiful and
strong Princess Diana has had more changes than Superman has come out of Phone
Booths, just kidding, but it sure is close! The iconic hero quickly became one
the most loved superheroes in America due to her unwavering patriotism
especially around World War II when she would often fight the Nazis in her
adventurous comic books. Wonder Woman also became highly recognized as one of
the icons of the feminist movement, after Gloria Steinem featured the superhero
on the July 1972 debut issue of Ms. Magazine.
For the last sixty-odd years our comic book heroine has been given super-powers, had them taken away and given back; she has had an invisible airplane and then the plane was gone only to be returned again; her costume has been alter many times, more than any other DC Hero. But, through it all the comic book never flailed in popularity. If you are a shopper looking for Wonder Woman comic books, to see for yourself… well, you’re in luck, you can find a large inventory of Wonder Woman comic books for sale right here on White Dragon Comics Wonder Woman comic book page.
Princess Diana, Wonder Woman has had one constant over the
years, pretty much and that is her origin. Created by Doctor William Moulton
Marston, under the pseudonym “Charles Moulton” … Diana was born when Queen
Hippolyta formed her daughter as a clay statue and the gods granted her life
and bestowed upon her gifts of supernatural powers. She was raised on Paradise
Island until a pilot, “Steve Trevor” crashes and is healed by the Amazons,
precisely Diana. After Trevor is healed he is to be return to man’s land and
Diana is forbidden to take him, but unknowingly to anyone Diana disguised
herself, entered a contest and won the right to take Trevor home. Over the
year’s writers have flaunted with Wonder Woman’s origin, but the gist remains
the same. If Wonder Woman’s origin has you intrigued, then you’ll many
