Aftershock Publishers continues to rock comic book readers
world with all-new one-of-a-kind tales! The newest hit to arrive in comic book
stores nationwide is taking readers by storm! Lollipop Kids #1 rd and it is one heck of a great
read!
from writer Adam
Glass was released on October 3.
Lollipop Kids takes a new approach to a monster origin’s,
suggesting that they arrived in America with early settlers as a way for their
country to dispose of them… dump em’ someplace they cannot come back from, a
new world with an ocean separating them.
In Lollipop Kids teenager Nick is trying to find his sister
Mia, who has not returned home… after a fight a while back Nick and Mia have
stopped talking to each other (the reason they stopped talking is
heartbreaking), but it is the day before Mia’s eighteenth birthday and Nick knows
his sister will be leaving soon and he can’t leave things like this before she
goes.
While searching for his sister Nick heads to places he knows
she frequents and that is the park, Central Park in New York, but what he finds
will forever change his teen years.
Adam Glass does a great job conveying what Nick is feeling
throughout the day as he desperately searches for his sister, in fact as your
reading your heart starts pumping a little faster with fear and, when it’s
disclosed how much Nick misses his sister, well tears may form folks!
One more interesting point, Adam Glass is co-writing this
comic with his 14-year-old son, Aidan. They’ve been working on it for years,
during commutes to school. The comic book is inspired by the diagnosis of
Aidan’s dyslexia, when he was younger. Aidan wanted Nick to have dyslexia, but
most important, didn’t want Nick’s condition to be a handicap to the group, but
rather a superpower.
Lollipop Kids is the next big hit for Aftershock Comics.... this comic gets 5 lollipop sticks out of 5! A must read for fans of all ages!
Readers, shoppers and collectors will find the latest issue
of Lollipop Kids here at White Dragon Comics!
