Comics You Should Be Reading!

Zenescope Comics has been publishing great comic books since 2005 and they lay claim to the largest female character-driven shared universe among comic book publishers today. Their latest best-seller, Jasmine, is a must read for comic-book-lovers everywhere.

Jasmine is currently on issue two, so there is plenty of time to jump on this phenomenal comic; Jasmine takes place in the time of the Arabian Nights tales. When a fiery explosion erupts in the ancient city of Petra, Jasmine must reach a group of terrorists, The Forty Thieves, led by Ali to prevent the shattered pieces of the Crown of Kings, from being reunited and unleashing an unearthly power on the world. But, Ali tells her they must work together because there is a force much worse then he, also racing to find the pieces of the Crown of Kings! Can they work together? Will they collect the pieces before anyone or anything in time? You will have to pick up a copy for yourself and find out today!

Jasmine is well written, keeping the reader apprised at each step Jasmine as starts her journey, leaving no room for confusion! Writer Howard Mackie does an excellent job conveying Jasmines heartbreaking past while keeping the story moving along. Deivis Goetten artwork is impeccable, leaving no details out!

Fans of Ali Baba, Jinn’s and other magical beings will be mesmerized by Jasmine! Zenescope does it again! No one else can take an old fable and turn it into a magical story like Zenescope Comics! Plastic Man from DC Comics

Plastic Man # 1, DC Comics newest comic book hit stores recently, and I have only one word to describe this comic… “Wang!” That’s right I used Plastic Mans word of the day, and I’ll use it again, Plastic Man #1 is Wang!

Writer Gail Simone and artist Adriana Melo breath a new life into the already popular Plastic Man! In issue one of Plastic fans will be given the background story, mostly of a shifty con-artist who runs a Strip Club and winds up at the bottom of the pack. In a job gone bad, Mr. Eel O’Brian aka, Plastic Man ends up shot and thrown from a car and Dead?!

Plastic Man is one of the best reads coming out of this week’s releases, Eel O’Brian will pull you into the comic with his fun, quirky personality as he upholds the law, but in his own style, while trying to change his way making amends for past indiscretions.
