Cool Comics Headed your way: Green Lantern #1

It’s an All-New Green Lantern comic book making its way to comic book stores everywhere, with a release date of November fans still have time to order number one. Superstar writer Grant Morrison returns to DC alongside red-hot artist Liam Sharp to launch the new, ongoing series.

Grant Morrison proclaims, “Instead of the big, epic, 12-part stories, we’re focusing down on the everyday life of a space cop. Basically, it’s no more apocalypse-ending storylines, the basic concept is that Hal Jordan is like a space cop that patrols a sector of the universe where anything can happen. We’ve made it more like a police procedural (IGN 2018).”

Green Lantern #1 will take fans to the beginning; re-telling the origin of the first human Green Lantern. This all-new story starts when Earths space cop, Hal Jordon finds an alien ship, that will set off a chain of events, sure to rock the Green Lantern Corps and possibly the Multiverse!

Conspiracy has hit the Green Lantern Corps, there is a traitor in their mist… who can it be? And just who is Hal Jordon, you know he’s a good cop, but is he really a good guy? We all know Hal is a space cop, so then why does he spend most of his time on Earth? Isn’t hard to be a space cop if you’re on Earth?

Find out the answers to these questions and so much more with the All-New Green Lantern comic books being released in November of 2018. Order yours at White Dragon Comics Today! Fans can also find several back-issues of Green Lantern Comic books on our popular web-site!

Burnouts # 1 from Image Comics

Burnouts #1 published by Image Comics and written by Dennis Culver takes me back to my high school years. High school is made up of three groups the nerds (also the brains), the jocks and the cool kids and everybody wants to be a part of the cool kids!

Andy, high school nerd and all-around good guy is sick and tired of being a nerd, he wants to hang out with the cool kids, go to a lively party and just have fun! Andy gets his chance with an invite to the coolest party of the year and he is determined to go, even if his best friend won’t join him. Andy excitedly tell his parents about the party and they tell Andy NO-Way

But, Andy who is just like every other teenager… sneaks out! Another student from one of Andy’s classes is smoking weed and offers it to Andy. As soon as the smoke hits… Bam! aliens can be seen! Now, not every stoner can see these aliens, only certain ones and these smoking teens are the only savior from body-snatching aliens!

Dennis Culver’s writing is quite good in Burnouts, the story does not drag out and the action happens
quickly! The dialog is typical “teenage talk,” with no cursing… the looks on their faces convey the curse words nicely. In fact, artist Geoffo’s artwork pulls the reader in, making one feel as if they are back in the good old days of high school!

Burnouts is a fun comic, not too serious and not over the top… a great read! Fans can find the latest copy of Burnouts at White Dragon Comics and online customers can find several Image Comics at our popular web-site… follow link below.
