Rancidville ... by local, up and coming writer/artist John Edingfield

Illustrator and writer John Eddingfield II is one of the newest authors to hit the comic book world with, “Rancidville” his first published comic book. John is a local writer/artist from the Poconos, which is kind of exciting here at White Dragon Comics, not only because of his locality, but because John is a long-time customer as well!

Rancidville is all John Eddingfield, the whole comic story and art comes solely from John’s heart! The first thing that captured my attention was the artwork! Bold, whimsical and full of life is the only way to describe the imagery! The panels in Rancidville are large one to three tops which really showcases John’s drawing abilities and significantly makes it easier for children to follow! The bold artwork reaches out and grabs your mind pulling you into the comic, relishing each page and wanting to know, “hey, what’s going on?” … what better way to get your children interested in reading!

Rancidville starts off with poor Nate, Nate just lost his parents and is forced to move in with his uncle, Hobo Daryl in Hobo’s home aka the junk yard! Just as Nate thinks his life, which according to Nate sucks couldn’t get any worse he meets his neighbors, aka his new best friends and soon their adventure will start!

Rancidville is a great start for John Eddingfield he drew my attention to the comic with his artwork, I love the big panels and it’s a breeze to read! The story could be any typical teenager’s worst nightmare come through and John conveys this in Rancidville. So, Rancidville gets two thumbs up! Great read for everyone!

Deathbed #2 is getting deeper into Luna’s past, that is if he can prove that his wild escapades in the past really happened?! Val and Luna continue their quest to find someone be it family or a friend to collaborate Luna’s wild tall-tales, but every time they reach out… that person or persons become victims! Dead before Val and Luna can reach them. If Luna’s tales are truly real than he has had one hell of a past… winning the World Series, a highly sought-after artist, a private eye on the White Dahlia murder (which was made into a movie), an International Spy and a friend of one of the greatest Saints!?! Too bad that all of these poor souls have met with a tragic end, leaving Luna without any verification of his crazy past!
