Scooby Apocalypse

Scooby Apocalypse comic books from DC Comics are approaching their 15th issue and after reading the first fourteen issues, I realize that I have waited far too long to review this super new hit comic!
As a fan of the television cartoon show and the movies I was thrilled when I learned they were going to do a grown-up version in comic book format. When issue one hit stands I was first in line to get my copy and super psyched that I could get the cover I wanted!

Scooby Apocalypse is pretty far into the story, but fans can still get caught up quite quickly with the Trade Paperbacks. The first issue gives fans a look at how the group ended up together as a team. What’s interesting about the comic, is that the group, on the big-screen really dig each other, but in the comic not so much, yet! In fact, Daphne and Velma seem to be on the edge of a knock-down drag-em out fight in every issue, although they always come together in the end. Shaggy and Scooby are just becoming friends, after meeting in a lab that was run by Velma, until the Apocalypse hit and threw them together. And, the Fredster is always in the background, waiting for his chance to shine and hopefully be noticed by the beautiful Daphne.

The team is on the road, fighting monsters while trying to find answers and a cure to the apocalypse. Along the way they have encountered numerous monsters, that were once human and have battled their way out of some sticky situations. And, thanks to Scooby Doo, that’s right Scooby they have gotten through without too much injuries, loss of equipment and getting hurt!

If you’re looking for a Great Read, I highly recommend this comic book! Scooby Apocalypse is well written and the artwork is phenomenal! Even if you’re not a fan of the show, the comic book will blow your mind!
