Hot Lunch Special #1 from Aftershock Comics

Aftershock Comics newest hit release, Hot Lunch Special # 1 is one of the best crime-dramas released this month. Aftershock Comics is steadily rising among comic book publishers constantly publishing new and unique titles with a fresh new approach. The publishing company delivers on its promises to fans  to writing great story’s with diverse characters and new worlds along with protagonists of all genders and species. Hot Lunch Special conveys everything Aftershock, giving fans a selection of diverse characters, in a town seemingly full of criminals.

Hot Lunch Special # 1 is a new crime-drama published by Aftershock Comics and is pack full of twist and turns that leave the readers in awe, highly anticipating what may coming next! Eliot Rahal is the writer on Hot Lunch Special, and I must admit I never heard of him before and not knowing what to expect, I jumped in and began reading and was impressed. Rahal takes his time introducing the characters, giving readers a brief history while keeping the story moving along nicely. I also love that artist Jorge Fornes drew the comic using small boxes and drawing realistic figures, conveying emotions, while transitioning from panel to panel following the story with ease.

“Hot Lunch Special is all about family, food and the fight for survival. The Khourys are a classic immigrant success story, a fractious and quarrelsome Lebanese family who carved their slice of the American Dream by becoming the largest distributors of vending machine sandwiches in the upper northern Midwest.

Unfortunately, the Khourys gains have been ill-gotten and a branch of the Chicago Irish Mob has come back to collect a past debt. Fealty is demanded, shots are fired, and long-hidden family secrets are fully revealed. Now, Dorothy Khoury, the daughter of the family patriarch is forced to unite her splintered bloodline and fight back.” ---Preview World.
