Gravediggers Union from Image Comics and Wes Craig

Zombies, vampires, witches, ghost storms and space monkeys…. Oh NO! Who you gonna call… The Gravediggers Union! That’s Who!

The Gravediggers Union is a new comic book published by Image Comics and written by Wes Craig. The Gravediggers Union is a crazy, wild world where the supernatural is taking over! The Gravediggers have been fighting zombies that have been popping up out of their graves. At first it was just a zombie or two, but lately there have been armies of zombies rising! What is going on?

Not only are the zombies chomping at the bit, but ghost storms are on the rise too! It’s up to the Gravediggers Union to find out what’s going on, oh and by the way…they’ll need the witches help! Nothing can go wrong? Right?!

Will the Gravediggers be able to help? Can they trust the witches? Or are we all doomed? Well your going to have to pick up the latest copy of Gravediggers Union to find out!

Gravediggers Union is currently on issue five and still going strong. Wes Craig weaves a supernatural tale like none other jam-packed full of horror, humor and drama in each issue! Gravediggers Union is well written keeping readers guessing, never expecting the outcome they are given. Artist Toby Cypress artwork is amazing… kind of a goth like with an eerie, sinister feel that really brings to life The Gravediggers Union!

Did you pick up a copy of "The Beef" # 1

The Beef # 1 from Image Comics hit comic book stores last week. The title was interesting enough, but it was the cover that got my eye, a can of meat (like spam) but with the title of the comic book on it… The Beef. The cover is a little tricky though, on the bottom of The Beef it says, “Tainted Love a Bio-Chemical Romance,” so I assumed the comic was going to be a love story… I was wrong!

The Beef # 1 written by Richard Starkings and Tyler Shainline took me by surprise, this strange and slightly twisted tale is quite good! Chuck Carter, the main character of The Beef has been eating cheeseburgers all his life, and almost always eating several burgers in one sitting! That really can not be healthy with all those steroids, chemicals and God only knows what else added to the cow’s diet, not to mention what they actually add to the beef!

Chuck, who has been visiting the meat factory since childhood, (trying to get a glimpse of his father who is forced to work double and even triple shifts) is all grown up and has taken his fathers place at the meat factory. The owners of the factory are terrible, nasty and no good treating Chuck and other employees terrible!!

Things are about to change though!! The “Beef” will be born!

This comic book is not for the weak-of-heart! Sometimes the graphics are, well graphic! This five-issue mini-series is sure to be Image Comics next big hit! Don’t miss your chance to own a copy of The “Beef,” now in stock at White Dragon Comics; Readers can find several titles like The Beef here at White Dragon Comics online store.

Lockjaw #1 from Marvel Comics and writer Daniel Kibblesmith and artist Ed McGuinness

Lockjaw the cutest, most-loveable giant puppy from outer-space is back starring in an All-New Four Issue Mini-Series! Published by Marvel Comics and written by Daniel Kibblesmith.

Lockjaw spends most of his time defending the Inhumans and the Empire but, sometimes a puppy needs to explore… and that’s just what Lockjaw does in Lockjaw #1.

In issue number one Lockjaw is lounging with Blackbolt and Medusa when suddenly Lockjaw takes off. Medusa remarks that she wonders “just where does Lockjaw take off too?”, and this is where our comic book starts off.

Lockjaw visits with Karnak for bit as the story jumps to earth, in the living room of Dennis “Demolition Man” Dunphy! Dennis aka “D” Man is down on his luck battling depression and a break up with his boyfriend. In a bout of anger D-Man cuts his hand open and leaves for emergency care… on the doorstep we meet Mrs. Gillespie, whom invites D-Man to a birthday party for her thirty-year-old puppy… yep, Lockjaws brother!

Lockjaw and D-Man have a few adventures before eventually meeting at Mrs. Gillespie’s birthday party, where they are forced to team up when alien hamsters attack! What happens next? Well, you just must pick up a copy of Lockjaw # 1 to find out!

Lockjaw is well-written, easy to follow and the artwork works well with the story; I highly recommend Lockjaw it’s a light, fun story! I’d say a 10 out of 10!

Comic book readers can find Lockjaw from Marvel Comics and similar comics at White Dragon Comics in store or web-site!
