Writer of the epic “Chew” series, John Layman is back with

story… Outer Darkness.
Outer Darkness begins in “Outer Space” as a cargo ship is
attacked by some kind of weird space ghost and soon these “ghosts” start possessing
members of the crew. Crew member Rigg’s demands that the cargo be dropped so
they can get away before all lives are lost… minutes after dumping the cargo,
against the captain’s orders, Joshua Rigg proceeds to save the crew which
results in serious charges placed against him… Court Martial.
Next we find Rigg’s, trying to drink himself to death as he
is approached by the Admiral of the fleet. The Admiral offers Rigg’s a choice…
jail for his mutiny or take on another ship as captain! And, this is where are
story really starts to take off. Captain Joshua Rigg begins a long, strange
journey in the furthest, weirdest, strangest and horrifying corners of the
known Universe and beyond. Rigg and his motley, dysfunctional crew of The
Charon set out for outer space where they will soon veer into strange and
unexpected directions!
Outer Darkness is one of the best sci-fi horror comics to
hit comic book stores nationwide! John Layman does a fantastic job communicating
Outer Darkness, readers can feel the emotions of Riggs and his crew! And Afu
Chan’s artwork significantly adds to Layman’s writings making this one heck of
a great read! One of the coolest parts of Outer Space is what powers the ship….
